The Vienna Twp. BDA welcomes the expansion of the Trolley Line Trail North from Willard Rd. to the Birch Run Outlet Mall starting in May of 2015. If you are interested in participating on a BDA organized “Friend of the Trolley Line Trail” in Vienna Twp., a committee is forming to address some improvements for the Bike Path. Some ideas include offering areas along the pathway that could be “adopted” or sponsored by residents, businesses or organizations that will discuss allowable enhancements like bird houses, flower gardens, etc. We would also like to look into building a small parking lot area along the route, signage with a map of the trail including pamphlets with restaurant locations, parks and points of interest. If you would like to participate on this Trolley Line committee, please contact the BDA office at 810-686-3460. We welcome your input and ideas so we can make improvements that will benefit our residents and businesses in Clio and Vienna Twp.
All Residents, Businesses or Organizations:
The Beautification Committee is working on expanding Bridge Park to the next Phase of enhancements! We welcome two Master Gardeners: Patricia Manning and Linda Vance who will be maintaining and overseeing the Monarch butterfly gardens at Bridge Park and the Clio Library.
Coming next summer these butterfly gardens will be part of the Genesee County Butterfly Garden Tour. Linda and Patricia will be hosting these educational tours and are working hard to make improvements. We are looking forward to showing off our gardens 🙂 For the Gardens, we are looking for funding to add a giant Butterfly Sculpture and a metal Butterfly bench.
Bridge Park is also a wheelchair / handicapped accessible park. We are looking for funding to build a gazebo (pavilion) and playground equipment made especially for handicapped children. Your donation could be by way of a memorial contribution, business donation, or even in your own family name. If you are interested in seeing how you can help, please contact the BDA office at 810-686-3460
Beautiful Garden Nominations are now being accepted. If you know of a business or residential home that has a beautiful flower garden, we would like to recognize their efforts to keep our town a great place to live and do business. Please send us the name, address and contact information to email@example.com.
We thank you for your compliments and contributions to keep the Beautification of Vienna Township exit 131 one of the best in the state!
