Vienna Road Lighting Project
On November 6, 2014 at Seven o’clock the Vienna Township Business Development Authority in conjunction with the Vienna Township Trustee Board will be holding a ceremony to turn on the long awaited Vienna Road lighting.
The Vienna Township Trustee Board gave authority to organize the Vienna Township Business Development Authority in 1992 and since then the Vienna Township Business Authority has completed over 100 small, medium and large projects totaling over 5.5 million dollars of improvement to the Business District.
The completion of this project which began in May of 2014 brings to a conclusion the third stage of new lighting built in the Township since 2010. The combined cost of all three stages of lighting comes to $1,200,000.00 all funded by the Tax Incremental Finance program allowed under Michigan Act 197.
The nine member Board that handle the affairs of the Business Development Authority is comprised of local landowners in the District and other qualified volunteers appointed by the Supervisor and approved by the Township Trustee Board.
The Vienna Township BDA requests your presence at this short “Turn on the Lights Ceremony” celebrating the close of this series of lighting projects here in Vienna Township.
