2017 BDA Annual Appreciation Awards

The Vienna Business Development Authority is committed to economic development and service to our businesses and community. One part of our development plan includes streetscape and beautification.  It is well known that beautification is the key aspect of any community development.  A visually appealing community increases property values, attracts businesses, and improves the neighborhood image. A very influential factor in consumer loyalty.  Every year the Vienna BDA celebrates those in the community that are working hard to improve their business and improve our community.

We have several categories this year:  Community Appreciation  — Business Beautification — Community Beautification — Business Enhancement —          Business Expansion — New Business

This summer Bridge Park will have a new addition of a Fairy Trail along the walking path. The new Fairy Trail will be created to include a fairy village made with all natural materials by local artists and volunteers.

fairypic3  The idea for the village came from Lori Fournier, the Master Gardener who oversees the care of the Butterfly Garden and is looking for artists who would like to create a fairy village for families to enjoy. The structures are to be made of natural materials such as moss, stones, acorns, tree bark which blend into the natural environment. These could include houses, a farm, ponds, a playground, you get the idea. Glue, string, or leather can be used to keep the items in place along with paint.

If you are interested in designing a house, please contact the Vienna BDA at 810-686-3460 or janet@viennabda.com for more information.
